Christmas Crackers

These were dropped on Christmas day 2001 and contained Party Hats. You could use this with another player to "pull" it and one person got the random color party hat and the other person got a random item ranging from chocolate to a rune 2 hander. Most people pulled these, so there are very little of these remaining.

 

Party Hats

On the 25th of december 2001 these colourful party hats where brought into the world of runescape by andrew gower. At first they were only worth 5-10k but now they currently go for millions, so only buy them if you really like them!

 

Pumpkins

These were dropped on Halloween 2001; these have a "eat" option and many people have eaten them making them even rarer. These were the first holiday drop item.

 

Easter Eggs

These were dropped on Easter 2002; these are also edible like the pumpkins.

 

Halloween Masks

These were dropped on Halloween 2002 and came in 3 different colors. They used to be very cheap but now sell for a lot of money. So when buying items like these be well prepared to decide whether you being spammed or not.

 

Santa Hats

These were dropped on Christmas 2002.

 

Half full wine jug

This was not a holiday drop item but back in the days when there was no P2P this re-spawned above goblin village where the wine of Zamarok re-spawns now. Also if you had a full jug of wine you had the option to drink half of it which you can't anymore, people drink them accidentally so they are slowly dieing out of RuneScape. They look just like a full jug.

 

Disk of Returning

There was once upon a time in RuneScape, a black hole. This is where a player who broke the rules was put so they couldn’t do anything. Players who had not broken the rules could experience the black hole but in order to get back they had to spin this disk of returning. You could buy it for 10gp. Now the black hole has been taken out and you can't buy this item anymore making it rare to anyone who has it left.

 

Weapons and Armor - Dragon Medium Helmet

This are dropped by the King Black Dragon, it is a member only item, with more and more people killing the Dragon and bringing more of these into the game this item is getting less rare everyday.

 

"Old" Pineapple

You used to be able to pick pineapples from trees on Karamja. When the Gnome Stronghold was brought into RuneScape you could make cocktails. They brought fresh pineapples out to tie in with the cocktail. This made the old pineapples not available anymore because now if you tried to pick one from a tree you would get a fresh one. When you move your cursors over it, it just says Pineapple but people refer to it as "an old pineapple".

 

Warship

This can be picked up from the gnome strong hold for free and are worthless.

 

Gnome Ball

This is from the agility Gnome Ball area in the Gnome Stronghold; you can take it out of the area by dropping it, walk out and telegraphing it. Even if you do buy one it can't be traded you have to trust the player to "pass" it to you by using it on you.

 

Crushed Gemstone

This is got from "new gems" (you can get them by mining in Shilo Village at the gem rocks). If you fail to cut the gem you get this. It is NOT worth anything, do NOT buy it, it does NOT do anything.

 

Charcoal

This is got by using coal with a range (e.g. cooking it) or buying it from a place in the jungle on Karamja. This is used for the Legends Quest too.
